Furniture

I use almost exclusively local wood; usually taken down in storms or by homeowners, milled locally and air dried for at least several years.  I find inspiration all around but when I’m designing something for own enjoyment I usually follow the philosophy of George Nakashima who felt that each piece of wood ‘wanted’ to be something and it was our job as craftsmen to bring it out.  We are lucky that here in Bucks County we have a nearly endless supply of beautiful native trees including Black Walnut, Cherry, several types of Maple, Red and White Oak, Sassafras, Locust and many, many others.
